Review by Dr M Naseem chair of the Birmingham Mosque:

Quote from Dr Naseem, of the Birmingham Mosque:
7/7 has been a defining moment in the history of Britain. It has been
followed by a plethora of laws which have turned British society in to
the most watched in Europe. The concepts and traditions which made
Britain a model state representing the rights of individuals, freedom of
Thought and freedom to act – respect for one’s privacy, Magna Carta, Habeas
Corpus, the notion that a man is innocent unless proven guilty and that
justice has to be seen to be done – have all been interfered with.
Systematically we have been moving towards becoming a police state.
For the health of our society and to regain our position as the leaders in
the establishing of a civilised, liberal state an independent enquiry into
the events of 7/7 is urgently needed. Dr Nick Kollerstrom,s book most
cogently establishes that such an enquiry is wholly in the national interest.
Since 7/7 the government has spent over ninety million pounds on its strategy of preventing terrorism and creating community cohesion but it has achieved neither of its goals. It has always refused to have an independent enquiry into the events of
7/7 on the basis that it would be too expensive. Dr.Nick Kollerstrom’s book proves that this is a necessary step for establishing trust in people’s minds and rebuilding a cohesive society.
